Support overview
ArtsIT provides both telephone and on-site technical support to members of the Arts Faculty.
Generally this support is provided to:
- All academic and professional staff
- Postgraduate students using on campus Faculty provided facilities
- Undergraduate students using the Faculty's non-language teaching labs.
The support offered ranges from problem resolution ("My program crashes every time I print") to procedural advice ("How can I…). In the case of staff and schools, ArtsIT can also be contracted to carry out on-site maintenance and installations.
Specifically:
- ArtsIT will only provide technical assistance on university owned equipment.
- On-site assistance will only be provided to Campus locations.
- Staff requiring assistance in the use of central university systems, eg. email, Themis, etc. will be directed to the appropriate central support unit.
- Local support is provided for web and LMS development
